Autumn is the ideal time to visit the Great Smoky Mountains.  Cooler temperatures begin to prevail, fall festivals abound, and it's one of the best times of year to see native wildlife.  But perhaps the most spectacular reason to head to the Smokies in October or November, is to witness the brilliant autumnal colors of the foliage.  Following are our favorite places for "leaf peeping" in the Smoky Mountains:
